Luke J is a guitarist, vocalist, producer and DJ who performs across a vast array of genres. His early career years were spent touring in Australian rock bands around Australia, South-East Asia, Europe and America. Graduating from university in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music Performance, he then expanded his musical palette performing in Jazz, Funk and Pop bands at festivals, public venues, weddings and corporate events.

All these years of performing led Luke to use his musical knowledge and experience to open his own studio where he teaches guitar, voice and music production.

As an highly in-demand DJ, Luke offers his services as a solo DJ for any event and also the popular Live DJ experience with options to add additional instruments such as saxophone, trumpet, percussion and many more.

Working with Anthony was an absolute breeze. We were privileged enough to have House of Soul play for our wedding and they were beyond fantastic. Ricky, Carla and the band had everyone dancing, engaged and in awe of their talent. Not only are they talented but they are beautiful people. From the moment we got in contact with Anthony we knew we had made a great decision. He had everything under control and was liaising with the venue to ensure a perfect night. We couldn’t recommend enough. We are thinking of the next event we can quickly organise just to do it all again!

My partner and I booked Downtime band for our wedding through Blue Avenue Entertainment in March this year and were absolutely thrilled with them. Anthony (the manager) was very accommodating, friendly and professional, and a very efficient communicator which made the booking process very stress-free which we were so grateful for during our wedding planning! The band were absolutely incredible - really gifted at what they do and they really understood the vibe we were going for - the set list they put together was perfect. So many of our guests gave us feedback on how fantastic the band was, and everyone was up and dancing which really made our night. I’m so glad we decided to book with them and highly recommend them!

We booked a band via Blue Avenue Entertainment for our wedding. I am so glad that we did! Anthony (the manager) was great. He was very organised and easy to communicate with. When the band we had booked cancelled 8 weeks out from the wedding, Anthony very swiftly found a replacement band that were even better than the original! OMG what a treat it was to have Downtime at a recent wedding I was photographing! Their music was the perfect addition to the reception :) The band members are incredibly talented! They were a hit with the guests and I loved capturing the joy and energy they were giving off. They were also super friendly and easy to work with, making my job as a photographer a breeze! I highly recommend these guys for any events :)
